Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team as an Interim IT Procurement Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project within a leading organisation.
As an Interim IT Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of IT services and products. This hybrid role requires you to be on-site at the office on the Lincolnshire / Cambridge border for 1-2 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional expert procurement advice, commercial and contract negotiation expertise, together with excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Implementing different IT sourcing strategies in the following areas: IT Security - SOC and SIEM Services, IT Software - mainly proprietary software, IT Voice - such as application management services.
- Managing various IT support models.
- Continuously reviewing current market trends and making recommendations to improve service, leverage spend, deliver savings, or implement efficiencies.
- Regularly communicating and updating key requisitioners on the client's corporate procurement policies.
- Implementing robust commercial and contractual terms in the best interests of the client.
- Delivering agreed category savings targets.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in IT procurement.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Flexibility to work on-site in an office on the Cambridgeshire / Lincolnshire border for 1-2 days a week.
- Strong drafting skills, articulate and good grammar skills.
- Comprehensive understanding and experience of best practice sourcing.
- Ability to research category and supplier markets, identifying the best deals, innovation, and creativity to reduce cost and improve service.
- Positive approach to stakeholder management, building strong and professional relationships with customers.
- Proactive approach to managing suppliers and supplier relationship management.
- Ability to work under pressure, be self-sufficient while remaining focused.
- Demonstrable experience of meeting savings targets.

- Data manipulation - advanced MS Excel skills.
