ESG REC are working with a leading provider and integrator of network infrastructure, electrical and communication solutions who are looking to recruit a Solar Project Manager to support the expansion of the company within the Renewable Energy market. Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end management of utility-scale solar projects, overseeing scope, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, and equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, electricians, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), G99 grid connection requirements, and Health & Safety Executive (HSE) regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive site surveys, manage procurement processes, and oversee installation and commissioning phases.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolve technical challenges, and maintain high standards of safety and quality control.
  • Provide technical expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, inverter technologies, and associated electrical infrastructure.

Qualification:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, 18th Edition certification preferred.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of real-world experience installing and maintaining solar PV systems.
  • 2+ years’ experience managing utility-scale solar projects.
  • Demonstrable experience in financial management and project costing.
  • Expertise knowledge of UK solar technology.
