About the role
As the Senior Product Outcomes Manager at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and embedding frameworks, processes, and governance requirements to deliver key activities across the client function. This role will also involve developing and managing the Product Outcomes team. The role will be fundamental to ensuring stakeholders and business forums across client receive the correct reporting, with appropriate escalation to group where appropriate, to enable oversight of regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty compliance, and to take decisions and action to deliver business and regulatory outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Client Outcomes Frameworks, Processes and Expertise: Owning the implementation, embedding, and oversight of adherence to frameworks, processes, and governance that govern key client impacting activities, including proposition/product governance, ensuring they remain aligned with HL’s regulatory obligations. Driving optimisation and efficiency of frameworks, processes, and governance, to ensure that they maintain robustness whilst meeting business execution needs. Delivery of training to key colleagues on regulatory requirements, including Consumer Duty, HL’s client impacting processes and frameworks, and the delivery of good client outcomes. Collaborating with stakeholders across the three lines of defence to ensure that business activity and initiatives are aligned with HL’s regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty obligations and the delivery of good client outcomes.
- Client Management Information & Reporting: Responsible for reporting of group-wide proposition and client related MI to relevant Committees and business forums, including the Operational Risk Committee, Product & Client Outcomes Committee and Legal Entity Boards.
- 3rd Party Product Distribution: Creating and providing appropriate Management Information to third party fund groups on the distribution of their funds, products, as required by MiFID II and the Consumer Duty. Responsible for requesting and reviewing management information from third party fund groups in relation to the design and target market for their products, as required by MiFID II and Consumer Duty.
About you
- Strong people management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of liaising with teams at all levels, including third parties.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence, manage disagreements and communicate to find solutions.
- Deep understanding of HL clients and products, and how solutions fit in the marketplace.
- Substantial knowledge of Consumer Duty rules.
- Risk analysis and management.
- Experience in a client-focused organisation.
- Experience working within strategic change projects.
- Able to drive future strategy.
- Ability to create and present compelling business cases.

Interview process
The interview process for this role will consist of an introductory call, a competency-based interview and a task.
Working schedule
This role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This is a permanent full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern of working in the office and at home.
