The Opportunity Are you a Civil Engineer with experience in the infrastructure sector? Do you have a passion for delivering projects for a variety of clients? Then come and join us at Stantec! We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join us in Manchester. You will have expertise in civil engineering design to deliver multidisciplinary projects throughout their lifecycle, from feasibility and planning submissions to construction details and site inspections. Our projects are varied and often require collaboration across disciplines. The successful candidate will lead civil engineering planning and design, prepare plans and drawings, and design earthworks, site roads, pavements, and drainage. You will work with clients and contractors to influence infrastructure schemes, lead project delivery, and support junior team members. Your role will include: Leading civil engineering planning and design Preparing plans and drawings at all development stages Designing earthworks, roads, pavements, and drainage with specifications Collaborating with clients and contractors to influence schemes Managing project delivery and team development Ensuring high-quality design through QA checks Liaising with authorities and stakeholders for approvals Supervising junior staff and acting as a coach Engaging with multidisciplinary project teams Key Requirements You will be an experienced civil engineer, preferably with a degree and working towards professional qualifications. Proven experience in delivering successful projects, strong client engagement, and influencing skills are essential. Experience in coaching and managing junior engineers is preferred.
