Marketing specialist with a background in marketing coordination and international event planning and delivery for large-scale conferences, ideally with a background in ophthalmic sales, surgical, medical equipment, medical devices or pharmaceutical or regulated product is required to lead the planning and delivery for Europe's most significant cataract and refractive eye surgery conference in Denmark in September by a world leading company at the forefront of treatments for eye diseases. Fixed Term Contract for 6 months – 40-50k + Benefits (Location ideally near London or Manchester or can travel for meetings).
Key skills for the Events Marketing Specialist would include:
- International conference marketing planning experience
- Event planning and delivery experience
- Educational, promotional and sales collateral creation experience
- Dealing with creative agencies, and branding, booths, digital displays
- Coordinate meetings (internal/external), events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments and coordinating related activities
- Assist on promotional activities implementation (advertising, PR, communication)
- Assist on plan, design and deliver all promotional materials, pre and post congress/exhibition
- Coordinate congresses/events logistics, including booth delivery and staff attendance
- Support GMs and Commercial Directors with national congress/exhibition delivery (promotion, collateral, booth design, event planning and delivery etc)
- Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines while staying within a budget
- Proven experience meeting and exceeding targeted goals
- Ability to build relationships and interact with all levels with clients and internal teams
- Excellent communications skills
Position Overview: The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for assisting the marketing department’s initiatives in managing integrated marketing campaigns across offline and online tactics. The Marketing Specialist will coordinate and assist with the marketing activities including but not limited to planning meetings (internal/external), events, conferences, and trade shows appearances, marketing campaigns execution, assess campaign success, develop sales tools, advertising and maintain and develop marketing databases and tools. The Marketing Specialist will be required to work closely with the Marketing Department (commercial, medical) to develop marketing plans supporting the company strategy and mapping out the tasks needed to implement that strategy. The Marketing Specialist will liaise with all concerned parties to guarantee adequate planning, execution and monitoring of marketing activities.
