They are seeking a Quality Inspector to undertake a variety of duties. The company operates by producing precision products for numerous industries throughout the UK and around the world, including proto-typing and product design.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards through thorough inspections, testing, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to verify product compliance
  • Identify and document defects, deviations, and non-conformances; work with relevant teams to resolve issues
  • Conduct root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and quality data
  • Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company quality policies and ISO/AS standards (if applicable)
  • Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management teams

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments and quality inspection tools
  • Solid understanding of mechanical drawings and possibly GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) (Not Essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality systems is a plus but not essential.
  • CMM Training desirable but not essential (ABERLINK)
