Senior Compliance Manager (Operations)

A leading US Law Firm is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Manager (Operations) to join the Office of the General Counsel in either their London or Manchester office.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in overseeing global compliance operations, managing a high-performing team, and supporting the implementation of key compliance strategies and initiatives across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a global team of compliance professionals, fostering development and operational excellence.
• Advising internal stakeholders on compliance-related risks and recommending pragmatic solutions.
• Monitor and respond to evolving regulatory landscapes relevant to the legal industry and the firm’s operations globally.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed compliance best practices into business processes.
• Develop and support compliance-related training programs tailored to regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Supporting the Associate General Counsel with strategic compliance initiatives and special projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance operations, processes, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven experience in managing a compliance team ideally within a multinational law firm
• Track record of managing complex, multi-jurisdictional compliance initiatives and project.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
