Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced HGV 2 (Cat C) Driver for a client based in Edinburgh, specialising in Cash & Carry deliveries. Although you'll be driving a 7.5T vehicle, you will be paid at HGV 2 rates!
The Role:
- Start Time: 07:30 AM, Monday to Friday.
- Deliveries: Stock deliveries to restaurants, cafes, pubs, and other commercial properties.
Responsibilities:
- Operating a tail lift and manually handling stock.
- Some heavy lifting (e.g., crates of alcohol).
- Completing daily vehicle checks and paperwork.
- Managing busy city centre multi-drop runs.
Permanent Opportunity: This role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
What You Need:
- Category C licence (held for at least 1 year).
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
- Previous commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
- Maximum 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements due to insurance restrictions).
Pay Rates (PAYE with Holiday Accrual):
- £14.00 per hour (basic).
- £18.66 per hour (overtime).
