A leading manufacturer is seeking the right individual to join their Facilities Team bringing with them an electrical bias. You will be joining a warm and friendly team, where training opportunities and development opportunities are available.

Facilities Electrician background needed:

  • Experienced and qualified in commercial electrical installations.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Working at height to access warehouse areas to deal with any electrical related repairs/installs.
  • Liaise with external contractors for larger electrical projects when required.
  • Action and close any electrical defects arising from external inspection reports.
  • Electrician with commercial electrical experience.
  • Experience of carrying out building maintenance repairs and working under own initiative.
  • Good understanding of statutory and non-statutory documents.
  • Understanding of Guidance Notes 1-8, BS7671 On Site Guide, BS7671 Regulation.
  • Knowledge of electrical legislation regulations requirements for compliance.
  • Knowledge and experience in Portable Appliance Testing.
  • Performing routine maintenance on facility equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job and a good eye for detail.
  • Be able to carry out preventative checks and routine inspections and must be able to see potential issues, take corrective measures and anticipate ongoing needs.
  • Interpret inspection reports, manuals and documentation and keep required documentation up to date to ensure compliance with internal and external audits and company procedures.
  • Basic computer knowledge to update company specific schedules, data and logging systems.
