The Currys Digital Data Team develops and maintains the digital data that allows the eCommerce teams to provide the reporting, insights and analytics to improve business performance and online customer experiences in line with our 5 strategic pillars.

The Digital Analytics Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of our digital data, working closely with digital product developers and analysts, as well as our 3rd Party agencies. The role will own the definition of data requirements and testing against those requirements, ensuring that quality data products are developed and deployed in line with the sprint plans.

The Digital Analytics Developer will support the development of new data capabilities (data sources, tools, etc), and how we can monetise our 1st Party Data.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Support in the design and development of data solutions. Creating robust pipelines to enable data integration, transformation and analysis.
  • Analyse complex datasets to extract meaningful insights. Sharing learnings with analysts to facilitate further analysis and drive business decisions and strategies.
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to convey key messages to stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the wider Digital Analytics Team and Digital colleagues to understand their data use cases and act as translator between technical data and the end users.
  • Own the resolution of any digital data incidents, updating impacted users on remedial actions.

Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Personable with good communication skills
  • Experience automating/scripting the extraction of data from 3rd party APIs using Python
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL queries
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes
  • Practical experience creating dashboards using Power BI (or similar tools)
