Here at Hays we are constantly working with SEN Schools in the Wigan area to provide them with Teaching Assistants. We have recently been approached by a couple of the high schools in the Wigan area who are seeking to secure a teaching assistant to work on a full-time, day-to-day and long-term basis. The school is looking to find someone who can start ASAP and hit the ground running when they start.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for providing support and assistance to the pupils, either as general classroom support or on a 1:1 basis with pupils with SEN. You should possess good behaviour management skills and build relationships with pupils as well as staff.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. As the schools are recruiting immediately, it would be ideal if you could jump straight into the role; however, do not let this put you off applying, as we are always receiving new roles.
