Salary: 27000 - 29000
Role Purpose: To focus on the management of the sales ledger, ensuring prompt payment from customers while providing excellent customer service and reducing potential bad debts. To further manage customer credit limits ensuring compliance with internal & credit insurance policies.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Chase & collect all amounts owing on the sales ledger (telephone, e-mail & letter)
- Review & reconcile accounts with credit balances
- Prepare account reconciliations for all key accounts (high volume & high value accounts)
- Process telephone card payments from customers
- Manage referred orders from sales/customer service department daily
- Manage credit control email box actioning customer requests & recording invoice disputes on customer accounts
- Ensure customer credit limits align with credit bureau & credit insurance requirements including annual limit reviews
- Identify & investigate short payments/deductions/refunds on customer payments
- Provide customers (internal & external) with excellent customer service
- Identify changes in customer payment patterns & escalate concerns to the Senior Credit Controller
- Ad-hoc reporting or other sales ledger & administrative functions, including training of colleagues, as requested from time to time
- Support colleagues within the department to ensure excellent customer service and achievement of departmental KPIs & targets
- Ensure compliance with all Company policies & procedures
- Actively work towards achieving departmental & individual KPIs & targets
