We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to join the Brinks UK BGS business as a Security Manager. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the security of our UK operations, ensuring the ongoing protection of our customers, colleagues, property, and assets. This role is key to driving effective security and risk mitigation strategies, with a focus on implementing practical measures that strengthen safety and support operational continuity across the business. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will be based near Heathrow, and will require travel to other UK sites, as well as international travel upon occasion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security procedures and programmes that reduce risk, limit liability, and enhance the safety of employees and the public.
- Proactively assess and manage security risks, recommending and deploying measures to eliminate or minimise exposure.
- Ensure security compliance in all facilities, fleet, and equipment procurement or installation processes.
- Lead an effective security audit and inspection programme to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure operations remain within agreed insurance limits, obtaining additional cover where necessary through the appropriate channels.
- Manage third-party contractors and subcontractors relating to security services.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar security role, ideally with international exposure.
- Proven experience in managing direct reports and working independently.
- Strong knowledge of physical, procedural, and personnel security standards.
- Good understanding of local and international regulatory bodies and requirements.
- Strong English language skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in conducting investigations.
