They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Support Apprentice to join their IT team. As the first point of contact for IT support requests from staff, students, and other users, you will play a pivotal role in delivering friendly, professional support for a wide range of IT systems and services. This hands-on apprenticeship offers the chance to gain real-world experience in supporting technology in an educational setting, contributing directly to enhancing the learning experience at Rugby School.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Be the first point of contact for IT support, offering friendly, professional assistance to staff, students, and users across multiple school sites.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and classroom devices like projectors and interactive whiteboards.
  • Support software and hardware installations, ensuring that new technology is configured and ready to use.
  • Assist with network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting, gaining valuable experience in managing connectivity issues.
  • Help manage user accounts, including creating accounts, resetting passwords, and maintaining secure access to systems and services.
  • Log and track IT support requests accurately, contributing to internal guides and documentation for future reference and shared learning.
  • Manage and maintain IT equipment inventory, including tagging and tracking devices to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with a talented IT team, participating in training sessions and learning hands-on to enhance your skills in educational technology.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary: £15,000 per annum
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 to 17:00
