We have a great opportunity for an individual with strong Data Lineage skills to lead the roll out of PIC’s Data Comprehension initiative across the business and setup/manage the BAU production process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup a delivery roadmap for Data Comprehension/Solidatus across all business areas.
  • Work with the Architecture and IT teams to design/build the appropriate structure, properties and standards needed to create an Enterprise data model that meets the requirements of PIC’s data strategy.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate documentation in relation to data comprehension activities.
  • Oversee delivery of Solidatus models and provide regular feedback on success.
  • Work with business SMEs in developing Solidatus models.
  • Collect and document requirements from a business perspective for underlying models.
  • Work with technical SMEs in translating underlying code into Solidatus models where appropriate.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory matters and internal policies relevant to PIC’s data management.
  • Work with members of the Data Office to successfully deliver against the department’s objectives.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities

  • Technical
  • An understanding of both data management and data governance policies and principles.
  • Familiarity with Solidatus (or similar) software and the mapping of data lineage/inventory models to support business practices.
  • A high level of proficiency with Data management and analysis tools (e.g., Azure data products, SQL, ETL, APIs, Power BI, DQ analysis tools, Excel etc).
  • Experience in financial services and an understanding of investment, insurance and pension products.
  • Sound report writing skills, able to appropriately select, tailor and present information to different audiences.
  • Personal
    • Experience in leading/delivering projects and working to tight deadlines.
    • Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders and able to build relationships across the organisation.
    • Ability to persuade and influence both directly and indirectly.
    • Ability to organise work to meet deadlines.
