Senior Design Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Bolton Salary: Negotiable + pension + 25 holidays + training & career progression Hours: 36 hours per week Monday – Friday / early finish Friday The Person: * Experience of designing special purpose machinery * Knowledge of mechanical engineering, and experience producing designs for manufacture. * 2D and 3D experience (AutoCAD, Solidworks etc) * Understand motor and gearbox power, material and equipment throughput rates. * ATEX or PED understanding would be useful. * Designing machinery for food or chemical process would be an advantage The Role: * Evaluate and assess customer specifications / calculations and convert into machine for manufacture. * Collaborate and interact with technical sales engineers. * Working on projects from concept to completion * Create manufacturing drawings.
