This company develops advanced RF electronics as standalone systems and subsystems for other manufacturers. Their technology has applications across both the commercial and government sectors. As their business continues to grow, they are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join their Cambridgeshire-based development team.
With involvement throughout the development lifecycle, you would work on aspects such as design, prototyping, PCB layout, test system development, debugging, documentation and IPR, and transition to manufacture. Reporting to the Hardware Development Manager, you will work in collaboration with colleagues from Marketing, Customer Support, Product Management and Manufacturing. You will have a high degree of ownership over the planning and prioritising of your work.
You will need:
- A degree in electronics or a similarly applicable subject from a well-respected university
- Previous commercial electronics design, test, and debug experience including most of: PCB layout, low level comms β e.g. SPI, I2C, FPGA, Verilog, VHDL, microcontrollers and SOCs
- Experience in developing embedded software in C and assembler
- Experience with embedded Linux
- Practical hands-on skills β prototyping circuits and use of common lab equipment
- Full, existing, and unrestricted right to work in the UK
- A knowledge of or interest in RF engineering, SDR radios, DSP, or high speed digital design would be beneficial but not essential.
