Our client, which is wholly owned by a global energy company, performs a key role developing projects and providing expert engineering support to businesses worldwide. The company has an integrated operation office in the UK in Basingstoke, and is currently helping to lead in the energy transition from traditional business areas with decarbonised solutions such as CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) to innovative projects such as renewables and hydrogen. Description of Project/Role and Main Responsibilities
- A Senior Process Engineer is required to be involved in various projects, supporting the Project Discipline Lead Engineer.
- Projects will vary from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED.
- Projects can be relevant to onshore/offshore oil/gas production facilities, with special focus on LNG and renewables production facilities.
- The main responsibilities are:
- Leading smaller Project teams or working autonomously to deliver a specific scope of work.
- Debottlenecking of existing facilities and coordinating the production of multi-discipline reports.
- Production and checking of standard process engineering deliverables according to Company and international standards.
- Follow-up of contractor activities, including checking of Contractor documentation in line with Company specifications, including but not limited to P&IDs, datasheets, and Design Basis documents.
- Manage process activities and liaise with team members across multiple geographical locations.
Candidate’s Qualifications, Professional Experience and Skills Required for the Position
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering.
- Certified by a professional institute, chartered engineering with the Institute of Chemical Engineers is preferred.
- Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC projects for Oil and Gas Processing facilities.
- Experience as a Lead Engineer, able to provide hands-on technical support to the team and Project essential.
- Driven and able to work with a high level of autonomy on assigned tasks.
- Experience using HYSYS simulation would be advantageous.
- Ideally have worked on projects from Feasibility phase through Basic Design and FEED to Detailed Design and Construction.
- Specific expertise in CCUS, LNG or Offshore technologies would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Eni tools and standards would represent a significant advantage for this position.
