An international freight forwarding company with a global presence is seeking a Branch Manager to lead its Southampton office. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a strategic leadership role, with a strong emphasis on ocean freight operations.

Position Overview:
The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing and developing the local team, and driving commercial performance. The role requires hands-on leadership and a deep understanding of freight forwarding-particularly in the ocean freight sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full operational and commercial responsibility for the Southampton branch

  • Lead and mentor a team across various functions, with a focus on ocean freight

  • Maintain and improve service quality and customer satisfaction

  • Drive business development and client retention strategies

  • Manage branch-level budgeting, P&L, and reporting

  • Liaise with internal departments and global offices to align strategy

Candidate Profile:

  • Several years of experience in international freight forwarding, ideally in a leadership role
