Sterlings is partnered with a UK Banking Group as they look to expand their Cyber Engineering function in London. The team is responsible for the end-to-end engineering of modern and effective solutions across the business, utilising a range of technologies. From a cyber tooling perspective, the team covers a wide remit, encompassing DLP, SIEM, PAM/IAM, EDR, WAF, Web proxies, email content security, and firewalls.

You’ll work in close collaboration with the wider Cyber team, including Operations, Pen Testers/Red Team, Architects, and the BISO group. It’s an interesting time to join the Bank as several projects are in flight including Cloud, IAM/PAM, EDR, and DevSecOps initiatives.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Experience working in a Security engineering role, ideally within a big corporate or highly complex, regulated environment
  • Proven experience working with a range of Cyber Security tools (IAM/DLP/EDR/SIEM)
  • Understanding of cloud providers and working in a cloud-enabled environment
  • Experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IaC) using CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools (such as Terraform)
  • Automation where possible mindset - scripting languages, Python or PowerShell, for instance
