Location: SE London

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Rate of Pay: £27 per hour (umbrella)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Join a dedicated Drug and Alcohol/Addictions team as a Band 6 CPN, supporting service users with substance misuse and complex mental health needs.
  • Managing a caseload of clients with dual diagnosis presentations.
  • Delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care plans.
  • Conducting assessments and providing evidence-based interventions.
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Supporting harm-reduction strategies and relapse prevention.
  • Monitoring mental and physical health, including administering medication.
  • Safeguarding and risk management.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Experience in addiction/substance misuse or dual diagnosis settings.
  • Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication and team-working abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously and within MDTs.
  • A full UK driver’s license is preferred but not essential.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. Initial 3-month contract with strong potential for extension based on service needs and performance.
