We have a great opportunity to work for a Global leader within the aerospace/defence sector.

We are looking for a Pyro prof Operative to join the team of this well-established family run British manufacturing company who work to save lives.

Hours will be 08.00-16.45 Monday to Thursday and 08.00-12.00 Fridays.

Salary £27K + amazing benefits + optional overtime at a generous rate.

This is an interesting role for people who are naturally curious and enjoy solving problems.

You will naturally be dextrous, have the ability to concentrate and finish tasks and have good attention to detail.

Main responsibilities

The Proof Operative role is responsible for undertaking a variety of processes including pyro proofing of pyrotechnic devices.

Identification of Proof Chamber Parts to drawing Assembly and disassembly of Chambers assemblies, Cleaning of Chambers and detail components.

Set up appropriate firing mechanisms.

Load, Arm & Fire Cartridge/ Rocket Motors

Collect and analyse firing data.

Basic understanding of and ability to interpret technical drawings

Safe using of ovens and freezers and programming of conditioning chamber timers.Pressure testing of proof chambers

Have experience in Health and safety policies
