Role

Express Solicitors are currently looking for an experienced Receptionist to work on a busy office switchboard. The role is to provide office and reception support in a busy legal environment during office hours.

Responsibilities

  1. Answering telephones in a polite and professional manner.
  2. Administration support, such as scanning and photocopying.
  3. Making refreshments.
  4. Ensuring meeting rooms are prepared.
  5. Completing checklists on a daily/weekly basis as instructed.
  6. Errands, such as buying milk for the office.
  7. Helping to keep the office tidy.
  8. Other ad hoc duties as required.

Person specification

  1. GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above.
  2. Reception/Switchboard experience.
  3. Administrative experience.
  4. Experience of working in a customer-facing role.
  5. Experience of dealing with customers on the telephone.
  6. NVQs or qualifications in business administration.
  7. Experience of working in a law or legal services firm is desirable.

Salary, Hours & Benefits

  1. The salary is £24,672.65
  2. Our standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.
  3. 23 days holiday a year, rising to 26 days, plus public/bank holidays.
  4. Extra day’s holiday for your birthday after 2 years’ service.
  5. 3 holiday buy backs per year after 1 year of service.
  6. Private medical insurance after 2 years’ service.
  7. Enhanced Maternity leave payment if you have over 1 year’s tenure, further enhanced at over 4 years’ service.
  8. Death in service.
