We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Portfolio Analyst to join our growing Mars Global Services (MGS) Portfolio Office in the Portfolio Operations team. As a key member of the Portfolio Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the effective governance, analysis, and reporting of project, program, and portfolio performance. You will involve working closely with colleagues inside the Portfolio Operations team and stakeholders across MGS to enable data-driven decision-making and to support critical portfolio management processes.
What are we looking for?
- Strong P3M experience in portfolio, program, and project management, including schedule assessment, financial monitoring, and risk management.
- Proven analytical and reporting skills, with experience in gathering, assessing and providing insights from portfolio data to inform decision-making.
- Intermediate understanding of portfolio governance, reporting structures, and risk management practices.
- Expertise in data-insights decision-making, including manipulating and interpreting large datasets to support strategy and performance tracking.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, project teams, and cross-functional groups.
- Proficiency with portfolio management and business intelligence tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Power BI), with relevant certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, MoP, P3O) highly desirable.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Support project, program, and portfolio management activities, including schedule and plan maintenance, financial monitoring, resource and benefits tracking, and risk management.
- Assist in producing portfolio reports, assessing data, and providing insights for executive decision-making and governance.
- Manage portfolio data libraries, registers, and tools, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance frameworks.
- Support senior management in embedding P3M best practices across the organization, aligning with strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement improvements in portfolio management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage portfolio-level risk, dependencies, and issue logs, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.
