Senior Underwriter

Position Type: Permanent, 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting Frances Eaton in delivering the Manchester business plan
2. Provide PI underwriting service to brokers on all professions underwritten within Tokio Marine HCC appetite
3. Underwriting of risks within authority and referral of risks outside of authority
4. Handling referrals of Underwriters below L4 and supporting their professional development
5. Monitoring of Broker accounts / performance
6. Development of broker relationships in the Northern region
7. Developing scheme and affinity PI and PI led combined business and in co-operation with London and Liability colleagues
8. Developing PI led liability, CAR, Management Liability and Cyber business where appropriate
9. Attending in house / external training sessions and actively maintaining own training record
10. Dealing with Brokers via telephone and correspondence within required service levels
11. Undertake any other ad hoc activities / project work as required
12. Assist in planning and reporting of regional results

Skills and Experience Specification:

1. Technical PI Underwriting knowledge
2. Knowledge of all professional sectors offering design and consultancy services
3. Communication and development skills
4. ACCI Qualification
