Laing O\’Rourke is seeking a Senior Project Information Manager to join our project team in Birmingham. The Senior PIM will establish roles and responsibilities for the information management team, working with relevant Functional Leads. Responsibilities include ensuring effective communication systems, managing quality procedures for all administrative and document control activities, and leading digitisation of project processes using existing tools and mobile capabilities supported by IT.
Laing O\’Rourke has been appointed as the construction partner for National Grid\’s Great Grid Partnership programme, part of a £9bn supply chain framework supporting infrastructure projects beyond 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, agree, and communicate project Information Standards and Methods & Procedures in collaboration with the Digital Engineer and Regional Information Management team.
- Implement a security-minded approach to data management, ensuring correct access rights are maintained.
- Deliver training on information management systems with support from the Regional team.
- Manage implementation, maintenance, and support for mobile quality management systems, preferably Field View.
- Produce digital handover documentation or facilitate external vendors, including system setup, reporting, and project meetings.
- Establish and manage archiving procedures in line with group policies, both electronic and hard copy, and assist with archiving throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review procedures and systems, providing feedback to central functions to develop best practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in managing small teams.
- Experience with high-value, complex projects.
- Previous client-facing roles.
- Understanding of quality management systems.
- Experience managing EDM systems, preferably Asite.
