We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our team in London. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the section of the project allocated to you by the Project Director. You will professionally lead all aspects of the section including design, procurement, commercial management, trade contractor management, programme & sequencing, logistics, health, safety & compliance, commissioning & handover.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and administer controls on the project or workplace and ensure full implementation and compliance with the Project Execution Plan.
- Interact and liaise with other Operations Managers to ensure commonality is achieved across the project and interfaces are properly coordinated.
- Understand, develop and scrutinise the programme, setting milestones and key deliverables. Lead the implementation of the overall project plan including the creation of any Plan B’s.
- Ensure the design is managed to provide information suitable for the procurement strategy and that the production of working drawings is completed within given timeframes.
- Ensure value is added to the design process by challenging solutions, methods, and techniques where appropriate to improve buildability and reduce whole life costs.
- Appoint a team member to manage the CDM elements.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Appropriate knowledge and experience to manage multiple disciplines/interfaces and work sequencing.
- Proven track record in successfully delivering large scale MEP contracts.
- Formal H&S training accreditations, minimum SMSTS.
- Proven track record in leading teams and projects.
- Experience and knowledge in relation to the correct testing and commissioning of a complete MEPH installation.
