SENIOR BUYER ROLE - CONSTRUCTION

Live Role: Senior Buyer

Location: East London / Essex office

Experience: Experience with both new build residential & remedial/re-cladding works would be preferable. Previous placements in business, all give excellent feedback.

Salary & Package: Dependant on Experience but c. (£60,000 – £80,000) + Car Allowance + Travel expenses + Private Healthcare + Progression + Perks.

A very well-established medium-sized contractor, recognised in the London market, is seeking a Senior Buyer due to a flurry of newly secured projects. The company specialises in:

1. Residential new builds
2. RC frame developments
3. Social housing and re-cladding works

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procuring materials and subcontract packages for live sites
2. Negotiating with suppliers to secure best value
3. Managing procurement budgets and reporting
4. Ensuring timely delivery aligned with project programmes
5. Working closely with site teams and commercial staff
6. Maintaining supplier relationships and sourcing new vendors

Candidate Requirements:

1. Experience in a similar Senior Buyer role within construction
2. Strong knowledge of residential, RC frame, and social housing schemes
3. Proven negotiation and cost control skills
4. Organised, proactive, and commercially focused
5. Familiar with procurement software and Microsoft Office
