We are seeking a Mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to help provide reactive and preventative maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment at our fully automated cold storage Peterborough site.

Salary: £49,000 Per annum, including shift allowance, paid monthly.

Shifts: 4 on 4 off Nights, working 18:00 to 06:00 40.25 hours per week with 30 minutes for lunch daily.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Resolve breakdowns, reduce downtime, and improve plant reliability.
  • Support the maintenance and wider team in working together to solve problems to keep our facility moving.
  • Maintenance is carried out in both ambient and cold store environment to a temperature of -18, just like working in a freezer however full cold store spec PPE and equipment is provided.
  • At times work using safety harnesses & on ladders at height.

  • Mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Engineers who can demonstrate competency in safely working with electrical assets.
  • Experience of working with warehouse automation, conveyers & PLCs.
  • Working safely at height trained.
  • Experience of working in freezing temperatures.
  • Good interpersonal skills and enjoy being in a team.
  • Willingness to learn and improve your skills.
  • Able to drive to get to site and work nights.
