Role Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Senior Operations Manager with a solid background in event planning, traffic management, and parking logistics, particularly in greenfield environments. This senior-level role is hands-on, varied, and crucial to the delivery of large-scale operations and special consultation projects across the UK. You’ll need to be highly organised, confident working outdoors, and thrive in the fast-moving events space. Weekend availability—especially during the Spring and Summer seasons—is essential. If you’re someone who enjoys taking ownership, leading teams, and delivering exceptional service, this could be the perfect next step.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of multiple operational and consultancy projects across the UK (with occasional travel to Ireland)
- Develop and implement temporary traffic management and parking solutions for greenfield event sites
- Produce accurate site layouts and operational plans using CAD mapping software
- Work closely with Operations Managers to ensure smooth coordination across teams and sites
- Maintain a high standard of service throughout every stage of the event process
- Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and champion best practice on-site
- Drive operational efficiency and resource optimisation
- Support the development and training of junior team members
Key Skills & Experience
- Lantra Traffic Management qualification – Level M6 & M7 (essential)
- Strong experience in event operations, especially in traffic and parking logistics
- Proficient in CAD mapping for site planning and layout design
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- In-depth knowledge of health & safety protocols within live event environments
- Clear communicator with leadership skills and a proactive approach
- Flexible and prepared for regular weekend working during peak seasons
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel daily to Crick, Northamptonshire
