Are you an organised, proactive problem-solver with a knack for coordination and a passion for getting the details right? We’re looking for a Purchasing Assistant to help ensure smooth supplier operations, timely deliveries, and seamless internal communication across the procurement process.

What You’ll Do

  • As a key member of the procurement team, you’ll support both Direct and Indirect Buyers by:
  • Raising and managing Purchase Orders in the ERP system
  • Keeping supplier and component data accurate—prices, lead times, delivery schedules, and terms
  • Coordinating with suppliers to track orders and flag any delays
  • Supporting the onboarding of new suppliers and helping them through registration processes like JOSCAR
  • Maintaining compliance records, including Export Control Statements and NDAs
  • Resolving issues around receipts, invoicing, or defective materials
  • Helping manage supplier performance and contributing to departmental KPIs
  • Taking part in meetings and keeping action logs up to date

What You Bring

  • Experience in procurement or business administration
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Confident with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus
  • Self-motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
  • Comfortable managing deadlines and working under pressure
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level)
