The Role
To work as part of the sales support team, providing proactive support and sales enablement on behalf of the UK Charities Distribution team. The candidate will work closely with the key stakeholders of Rathbone Asset Management and Rathbone Investment Management, including the Head of Charities within Distribution, Investment/fund managers, marketing, operations and compliance teams, to help achieve the sales targets and business objectives.
Outcomes of the Role
- Work with the Head of Charities and their Sales team, to execute the sales strategy for new and prospective Charity and Endowment clients, providing an exceptional level of service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively follow-up sales activities and marketing campaigns generated by the sales directors.
- Act as the initial escalation point for client and consultant queries, including complex enquiries.
- Work with key stakeholders to plan and organise client meetings, including preparation and delivery of client presentation materials and sales collateral.
- Maintain a high level of technical, product, market and regulatory knowledge (including ESG) so that you understand how regulation impacts Charity clients, and our business.
- Work with key stakeholders, including the product specialists and Greenbank, to create and maintain standard sales messages for Rathbones products and services.
- Work with the Proposal team to oversee due diligence and RFI requests.
- Identify and undertake research on given topics, interrogate and collate data, MI and competitor analysis.
- Provide support and expert assistance with systems and processes including CRM (Salesforce), Seismic and other relevant content and servicing tools.
- Work with the Proposition Product and Marketing teams to successfully support the launch of new products and services.
Knowledge & Experience
- Detailed understanding of the products and services Rathbone Asset Management and Rathbone Investment Management provide for Charities.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to develop & maintain positive working relationships.
- Robust analytical skills.
- Systems competence – demonstrates competence in using Company systems including Salesforce.
- Solid understanding of the regulatory and competitive environment in which we operate.
- Have experience working in a similar role in Financial Services, the Investment or Wealth/Asset Management industry.
- Have experience working with Charity clients so that you understand their investment needs.
