RC Frame, Civils, and Groundworks Experience Required
I'm working with a leading contractor with a strong presence in city centre developments throughout the UK. They are due to commence a high-rise student accommodation project in Central Manchester - a 30+ storey build with extensive reinforced concrete, civils, and groundworks - and they're looking to bring an experienced Site Engineer on board.
The Role
- Setting out for groundworks, piling, RC elements, and structural components.
- Supervising deep excavations and ensuring compliance with method statements and RAMS.
- Overseeing formwork, and concrete pour inspections.
- Maintaining QA records, site diaries, and as-built documentation.
- Supporting temporary works, coordinating subcontractors, and flagging H&S issues.
- Attending daily site briefings and ensuring engineering accuracy throughout.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on RC frame and civils-heavy projects, ideally 20 storeys+
- Knowledge of piling, ground beams, and managing deep excavation works
- Comfortable with setting out using Leica/Trimble equipment
- Strong focus on health & safety - CSCS required, SMSTS/SSSTS & First Aid preferred
- Able to interpret drawings and coordinate confidently with site teams
