The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond - infrastructure with sustainability at its core. We began operations in Beijing in 2016 and have since grown to 110 approved members worldwide. We are capitalized at USD100 billion and AAA-rated by the major international credit rating agencies. AIIB's Investment Operations (IO) are composed of two Chief Investment Officers and one Vice Presidency. The office of the CIO2 seeks a Business Management Analyst/Associate to support the operation of the Office and report to the CIO2, with the following main responsibilities:
- Act as interface between the Office of CIO2 and departments reporting to CIO2, as well as other departments and offices in the Bank, helping ensure seamless communication and achieve efficiency in business planning and management.
- Assist in developing and managing the CIO2 business plan, budget and staffing plan, and in consolidating, coordinating and preparing the respective briefing notes and reports.
- Provide coordination support to the Office of CIO2 in developing business plan objectives, supporting regular operations and implementation of the business plan and budget, and following up on critical initiatives and program progress.
- Serve as Secretariat of CIO2 management team meetings and the focal point of CIO2 for various committees, assisting in preparing relevant briefing notes and presentations in consultation with other departments and offices in the Bank.
- Liaise with key departments as needed.
- Organize or coordinate region-wide activities, including retreats, quarterly meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Conduct research and analysis, contributing to preparing briefing notes, presentations, meeting briefs, and speeches for CIO2.
- Organize internal meetings, track follow-ups, and facilitate information sharing.
- Lead team-building initiatives and foster cross-department collaboration.
- Undertake additional assignments as directed by the Office of the CIO2.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3-5 years in business management within multilateral development banks or international organizations. Experience in an executive's front office at a development finance institution or international bank is desirable.
- Skills & Adaptability: Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational abilities. Positive attitude toward change, with the ability to quickly integrate feedback under pressure.
- Coordination & Initiative: Excellent coordination skills, adaptability to different roles based on business needs, and ability to bridge resource/skills gaps to keep initiatives on track.
- Work Ethic: Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision.
- Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with Region II (East, Central, and West Asia; Middle East; Africa; Latin America) is an advantage.
- Language Skills: Strong English communication skills (written and oral).
- Education: Master's degree (or equivalent) in business administration, economics, or public administration.
