This role focuses on the coordination and management of project aspects, ensuring that all elements of the projects, such as DNO applications, leases, and commercial agreements, are completed on time. About the Role: We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Management Officer (PMO) to drive the successful delivery of EV charging projects across the UK. This role is central to the execution of our ambitious infrastructure rollout, ensuring all projects and teams assigned are moving forward efficiently and effectively. The PMO will oversee all aspects of project delivery, collaborating closely with landlords, hubs, internal teams, and external stakeholders to meet aggressive timelines and high-quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the revolution of sustainable transport by shaping the future of EV charging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Manage all phases of site development, including commercial negotiations, lease agreements (internal and third-party), delivery, and network operations mobilisation.
- Reporting: Provide clear and concise weekly updates on project status, key milestones, and delivery targets to senior management and department heads.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams (technical, legal, finance, and operations) and external partners to ensure alignment and on-time project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks or bottlenecks in project timelines, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate issues where necessary.
- Communication Facilitation: Maintain effective communication channels across departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance and smooth project execution.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of project lifecycle management tools and methodologies. Proficient in project management software (e.g., SiteTracker, MS Project, Asana, Trello) and advanced in MS Office. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Attributes: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of negotiating and maintaining relationships with key partners and vendors. Adaptable and resilient, able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in project management or PMO roles, ideally within EV charging infrastructure, construction, or related industries.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
