Riggs Washington DC sits on the iconic downtown corner of Penn Quarter’s 9th and F Street in a historic building once home to Riggs National Bank. Each of the Hotel’s 181 guest rooms offers a playful nod to the building’s legacy. Riggs is home to the all-occasion European brasserie-inspired restaurant Café Riggs, as well as Silver Lyan – a subterranean bar from the internationally acclaimed Ryan Chetiyawardana, also known as Mr Lyan.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate hotel awareness through email, phone and in-person efforts, fam trips, site inspections, entertaining.
  • Analyse weekly/monthly/yearly production in Travel Click/Agency 360 to assess which agencies to target for solicitation.
  • Manage Corporate RFP’s in Cvent Transient Tool.
  • Contract all Corporate Transient (LRA + NLRA) accounts annually for Riggs.
  • Prospect all Embassies for future Diplomatic business and be the main point of contact for all bookings and requests.
  • Main Sales Solicitor for the transient Government Market, including Fedrooms, CWTSATO, etc.
  • Conduct site tours on behalf of Riggs and Lyle to new and prospective clients.
  • Attend sales calls/ missions as assigned.
  • Prospect the arrivals report and reservations made yesterday for LOS, reservations booked at BAR for additional opportunities.
  • Grow relationships with corporate negotiated accounts, both locally and nationally.
  • Work closely with DOS and DORM to ensure that business travel sales strategies are aligned with the hotels business needs.
  • Train and mentor both the Sales & Reservations coordinator and operations team on the importance of our transient guests ensuring the team is fluent with all contracted amenities.

Salary Range: 75K - 80K
