DP World has an exciting opportunity for a Pricing Specialist to join our growing team remotely either from the UK, France or Italy. The Pricing Specialist is critical in the management of building accurate and profitable financial models and commercial rates/tariffs in response to RFQs received by prospective or current clients.
How will you contribute:
- Contribute to the development of innovative and user-friendly pricing models/tools.
- Responsible for leading pricing opportunities or renewals.
- Collaborate with the Solution Engineering team, Sales, Operations and Corporate Service Functions to identify deliverables and design programs/solutions.
- Quality check the team’s work to learn, challenge, and verify the model is error free.
- Assist bid team / Senior Management to achieve the target price and margin requirements by providing continuous feedback on overall cost impacts, solution alternatives, continuous improvement opportunities and relevant pricing alternatives or options.
- Document pricing/solution assumptions and create a client facing pricing language document with assumptions and pricing specific terms and conditions.
- Evaluate pricing risks and mitigation strategies ensuring pricing integrity while also considering DP World’s profitability guidelines and targets.
- Review contracts terms and conditions to ensure they align with pricing models/P&L and suggest negotiation parameters with sales.
- Ensure contracts are in line with company position on P&L reporting, i.e. EBIT, ROCE.
- Perform win validation/implementation support to ensure pricing aligns with final Statement of Work.
What will you Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience working in the 3PL industry in engineering, costing, or operations management in addition to a good understanding of production and logistics channel processes and their costs.
- Knowledgeable in the creation/use of pricing templates, cost databases, and other supporting tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work under pressure calculating pricing impacts quickly, accurately and confidently with Senior Leadership.
- Experience successfully managing complex and multiple projects.
- Able to be customer facing with a high level of business acumen.
- Able to delegate tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
