Are you looking for a new role in a small, friendly team? Then apply to be a Research Manager at the Scar Free Foundation today! The Research Manager will play a vital role in our organisation, leading our research selection and management processes to ensure we continue delivering impactful research to help us achieve our mission of a world without scarring. They will also dedicate part of their time to supporting fundraising activities, including undertaking directed research and assisting with donor stewardship to help secure long-term support for our research activities.
Essential skills and experience for this role include:
- Experience of a similar research management or administration role or hands-on experience of managing complex administrative processes
- The ability to manage the processing of grant applications and peer review processes, adhering to relevant standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and proof-read documents to a high standard
- A confident and professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general IT systems
This is a permanent contract, which pays £35,000 FTE per annum depending on experience. You’ll get 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays and extra days between Christmas and New Year. You’ll be enrolled into our pension scheme, where you can contribute 3% and the charity will contribute up to 5% of your gross salary. We’ll provide you with everything you need to work from home or in a co-working space if needed. You must be based in the UK but will work remotely, meeting with the team up to twice a month in London. Some occasional travel is required, such as visits to our research programmes in Swansea, Birmingham, and Bristol. Your travel costs to meetings above are covered by us. We’re willing to consider applications for this role from those wishing to explore full time or flexible working options.
