As a Front-End Engineer at Via, you’ll be an integral part of our London team, driving the development of user-facing features that directly impact our products and customers. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build and enhance front-end tools that elevate the experience for users, delivering innovative and high-performing solutions. Your work will focus on creating seamless, intuitive interfaces from scratch and continuously optimizing existing features to improve usability and drive product success. What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement user-facing features by building new components, pages, and modals using React and TypeScript.
- Integrate the latest third-party libraries to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance, while adhering to best practices.
- Write clean and efficient front-end code for Via’s app, used by 600+ partners across the world to enable efficient, equitable and affordable transportation for everyone – elderly citizens, people with disabilities, school children and commuters.
- Collaborate with talented full-stack and back-end engineers, product designers and product managers to create user-centric and visually appealing products.
- Stay up to date with new technology trends, applications, and protocols.
Who You Are:
- BSc. Computer Science or similar.
- Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience - Must.
- Experience with React - Must.
- Strong knowledge of Typescript/Javascript - Must.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Experience with map applications / GIS related is an advantage.
