We’re looking for a Counter Fraud Policy Investigator to join our Counter Fraud Department. You will be reporting into our Counter Fraud Team Leader. In this role, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional Counter Fraud benefits by fearlessly detecting and investigating insurance fraud. Your skilful investigations will validate and substantiate concerns, ensuring that our customers remain protected from fraudulent activities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively detect and prevent fraud, minimising the impact on the genuine customer.
  • Provide effective portfolio management, including proactive review of new work and conversion to detected benefit, whilst ensuring SLA’s and the lifecycle of cases are kept within process guidelines.
  • Demonstrate all cases adhere to legislation and risk regulations set internally and by external governing bodies.
  • Conduct cognitive investigation interviews, assessing behaviour and fraud types, ensuring informed decisions are made.
  • Use knowledge and available tools to refer, where required linked cases or any suspicions of organised or targeted fraud identified in day-to-day handling as required.
  • Mitigate spend and control the cost of investigations by identifying threats, leakage, and where appropriate refer to senior staff members.
  • Demonstrate effective use of all available MI to prioritise workload and drive own performance.
