Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our chefs, working in partnership with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals. Our Technical department is looking for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the team. In this role you will be responsible for the daily supervision and efficient running of the QA department and all related quality control functions. You will support and work closely with our QA Manager.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Assist with the management and control of all aspects of the quality management system relevant to all QC activities and functions, and ensure all customer specific requirements are adhered to and maintained, ensuring product safety, quality and legality.
- Assist with the issue of new or revised QC documentation and procedures within the department, and ensure all daily QC records are completed and signed off prior to archiving.
- Support the Quality Assurance Manager with new production runs and factory trials as required, including sample requests from sales and NDP.
- Assist with customer complaints and foreign body investigations.
- Assist with conducting departmental audits and proactively liaise with production management on any related issues.
- Assist with customer and third-party audit preparation and participate where required.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience working within a fast-moving food manufacturing environment within a quality / technical role.
- Awareness of BRC, HACCP and customer quality standards.
- Previous team leadership experience essential.
- CIEH Level 2 Food Safety for Manufacturing.
- Strong IT, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
You will provide practical support to drive and promote a Quality Assurance culture.
