Our Client is seeking a Lead Control Systems Engineer to work on an onshore FEED Project for an initial 8 month contract role that has an immediate start.
EXPERIENCE: Candidates must have experience in the FEED / detailed engineering phase of projects, particularly in handling packages, and will assist in designing process control systems based on DCS, ESD & FGS systems. Experience in Brownfield onshore projects. Experience working with multiple centres. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Middle Eastern projects, Chemical facilities (e.g. Ammonia) and familiarity with related work processes.
JOB SCOPE:
- Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables, including P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
- Experience of preparing Package specification, datasheets.
- Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and packages.
- Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
- Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
- Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
- Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.
DURATION: 8 months initially
LOCATION: The role will be based on 5 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Leatherhead.
RATE: £55.00 per hour Ltd co rate. If the role is likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
