Full-time position at Robert Bosch LLC located at 15000 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, MI 48170. Develop and lead connectivity activities for our braking systems. Knowledge of brake system functionality and familiarity with brake modulation functions and electronic braking systems is required. Understand data-driven development as a tool for improving hardware and software design. Know-how of embedded systems, automotive engineering, and big data engineering is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and produce fleets to provide data for decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal quality, systems, application, software, and hardware teams in the US and Germany, as needed.
- Collaborate with and/or present to the customer to align requirements for the collection of brake system data and post-processing.
- Conduct internal and external vehicle demonstrations.
- Work together with support teams in India and Mexico to implement and test connectivity software components.
- Guide customer teams for the development and deployment of brake system connectivity functions.
- Define, identify, and realize approaches to data analytics which contribute to improvements in brake system design and validation testing.
- Establish a working relationship with internal customer teams and assist in identifying opportunities for brake system data to contribute to brake system design, manufacturing, and testing.
- Informally lead a small team of engineers working in the brake connectivity sphere to share knowledge and experience.
Minimum Requirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Brake Control Software Engineer, Data Analytics Specialist, or occupation involving building data pipelines within a Cloud or Cloud-hybrid setup. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: Brake system components or integration; Software Development; Software and Hardware validation and verification testing; Test equipment installation and management.
