We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Production Planner/Buyer to become a vital part of our clients team based in Chichester. Your Role:

  • Lead Production Planning: Take charge of planning and coordinating production activities to ensure our products are delivered on time, every time.
  • Empower Sales Communication: Provide accurate lead times and confirmations to the Sales team, enabling seamless customer interactions and proactive planning.
  • Maximise Efficiency: Optimise resource management while upholding the highest quality standards, ensuring we meet and exceed our output goals.
  • Strategize Labour Allocation: Schedule shifts and assign labour strategically to achieve full skill coverage and operational excellence.
  • Proactively Solve Challenges: Regularly monitor production status, swiftly addressing any issues with the Production Manager to keep our goals on track.
  • Achieve Targets Together: Collaborate to meet monthly build targets and contribute as a dedicated team player across all production stages.

Master the Buying & Materials Management:

  • Ensure Readiness: Assess materials and equipment to guarantee everything is ready for production cycles.
  • Prevent Delays: Source components in advance for custom projects, preventing any disruptions in the production process.
  • Strengthen Supplier Relationships: Manage purchase orders effectively, nurturing strong partnerships with our suppliers for consistent and reliable supply chains.

Drive Process Improvement & Efficiency:

  • Innovate Planning Systems: Own planning and scheduling systems, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing lean practices to elevate efficiency.
  • Lead Stock Reduction Initiatives: Champion strategic initiatives that focus on smarter planning and tighter inventory control.
