The Role: Contribute to the creation and refinement of Net Zero and Climate Solutions frameworks tailored for Private Markets. Enhance tools and methodologies for climate-related data collection, and support the integration of climate factors into portfolio construction, performance evaluation, and ongoing monitoring. Evaluate investments against established climate frameworks to ensure alignment with sustainability goals. Collaborate with investment teams to embed climate frameworks into investment decision-making processes. Engage regularly with investment desks to promote climate-focused discussions and practices. Assist in company-level engagement on climate-related topics and initiatives. Support the design and delivery of training programs focused on climate frameworks and best practices. Respond to both internal and external information requests related to climate and sustainability matters. Stay informed on emerging trends and developments in climate policy and sustainable finance to help identify and support climate-positive investment opportunities.
Experience Required: Solid understanding of climate science, including climate scenarios and risk modelling. Deep knowledge of GHG measurement and target-setting frameworks for corporates and investors (e.g., Science Based Targets for Financial Institutions, IIGCC Net Zero Investment Framework, Transition Plan Taskforce, PCAF). Demonstrated experience in climate investing within private markets. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. Proven ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships both internally and externally. Skilled in translating complex data and analysis into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders. Capable of producing well-structured, high-quality reports and presentations suitable for senior leadership. Excellent writing and editing abilities, with a focus on clarity and precision. Highly self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment. Strong problem-solving mindset with a hands-on approach to developing and delivering practical solutions. High levels of integrity, accountability, and resilience. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. IMC, CFA, or CFA Climate Investing Certificate (or equivalent) is desirable.
