We are looking for a talented Mid or Senior Technical Artist to join poncle and help shape the future of indie gaming! You’ll be joining the team behind the wildly successful Vampire Survivors title and be surrounded by passionate, cross-disciplinary devs who value innovation, fun and quality.

As a mid or senior Technical Artist, you will be working in a combination of Unity and a bespoke codebase to implement amazing art styles and effects to delight and dazzle players.

Your responsibilities:

  • Create amazing particle effects, shaders, and full screen effects as well as more traditional art creation.
  • Design and implement graphical features that are performant and well documented and designed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop various gameplay effects and asset pipelines.
  • Work with QA, helping fix and regress issues with the existing game's visuals.
  • Follow games industry level best practices and processes.
  • Keep up to date with best practices, methods and technologies, investigating new techniques, tools and tricks.

The skills and experience you will bring to the role:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in a Technical Art role in games.
  • A sound understanding and love of games.
  • An endless passion for trying new techniques to find better ways of doing things.
  • You’ve worked on released games, with a focus on graphics creation.
  • Experienced with render pipelines.
  • Sound understanding of 3D graphic APIs.
  • Created VFX and performed technical art tasks for a shipped title.
  • Strong knowledge of 3D mathematics, timing and animation with the ability to produce finished quality results.
  • Portfolio of work to demonstrate your broad skillset.
  • Great communication skills with both programmers and devs from other disciplines.
  • A self-motivated, can-do attitude with showing initiative and problem-solving skills.
