About the team: Exciting opportunity to join a highly successful coverage team focused on the entire Telecom, Media and Technology sectors while also incorporating Aerospace and Defence. The team provides full strategic advice and execution for M&A and ECM deals. With operations globally, our London team concentrates on European transactions where we have especially strong contacts and reputations across France, Italy, Spain, and the CEE region, working with both corporates and sponsors on buy and sell side mandates. TMT is a priority sector for SocGen, and we utilise a strong proportion of our balance sheet each year for deals in this space.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in origination of Corporate Finance transactions across the TMT sector
  • Assisting in execution of Corporate Finance transactions across the TMT sector
  • Involved in the preparation and pitching of presentations for clients, investors, and the broader investment community
  • Financial statement analysis and financial modelling
  • Company and industry research in the context of the origination and execution of transactions
  • Company valuations mainly using market multiples, M&A multiples, and the DCF method
  • Help develop transaction structures / structured solutions
  • Keep up to date about M&A, equity, and debt related issues
  • Working with other sector, country, and products teams as required
  • Efficiently supervises interns and owns responsibility for their work

Profile required:

  • University education with Bachelors or Masters in a finance-related subject
  • Experience in Corporate Finance / M&A
  • Strong financial modelling skills with detailed knowledge of valuation techniques
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Distinct interest in the TMT sector including knowledge of recent trends
  • Able to work under time pressure handling multiple workstreams concurrently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – European languages is an advantage
