A well-regarded professional services provider based in Princes Risborough is seeking a proactive and skilled Finance Temp with strong management accounting expertise to support its finance team during a crucial transitional period. This hybrid opportunity offers flexible working (four days from home, one day in the office) and a competitive hourly rate of £18.00 to £20.00, depending on experience.
This role has arisen due to short-term capacity challenges and a current skills gap, with the successful candidate expected to provide vital support during the organisation’s annual audit process and the ongoing stabilisation of a recently implemented financial system.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the team in preparation for the external audit (May to July), ensuring accurate and timely financial data delivery.
- Assist with the production of management accounts, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Provide general finance support across a range of ad hoc tasks—these may include transaction processing, data analysis, and report generation.
- Work independently and apply sound judgement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where immediate contribution is essential.
- Experience in the charitable or not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
- Proficient in producing management accounts with a strong understanding of reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Comfortable operating within a team of around 12 people and contributing positively to a calm and supportive work culture.
- Ideally professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar), though candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Confident, composed, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Contract: 3 months
- Location: Princes Risborough (1 day per week in-office)
- Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
- Rate: £18.00–£20.00 per hour (DOE)
