Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for building lasting client relationships and delivering commercial, value-driven advice? A progressive and growing accountancy firm in Bridgend is looking for a Client Manager to lead a portfolio of clients and play a key role in shaping their continued success. This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with at least five years’ experience managing a diverse client base. The successful candidate will take ownership of a well-established portfolio, delivering a wide range of services including accounts, tax, and business advisory. You’ll be the go-to adviser for your clients, supporting them at every stage of their journey.
Role responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and individuals across a range of industries
- Overseeing the preparation and review of year-end accounts, tax returns and VAT submissions
- Providing strategic advice on business performance, growth and planning
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular contact and proactive support
- Ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met across your portfolio
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, reviewing their work and supporting their development
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure joined-up service delivery

Candidate requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years’ experience managing a client portfolio within practice
- Strong technical knowledge in accounts, tax and compliance for owner-managed businesses

- A commercial mindset and the ability to spot opportunities for clients
- Experience managing and developing junior team members
- Organised, proactive and comfortable working both independently and within a team
