The role
We’re looking for a Site Handyperson to join our Dorset bakery team. You’ll be reporting to the Engineering Team Leader and will be responsible for the upkeep of the site facilities and assist the duty engineer when required. You’ll be supporting the engineering department and site teams to ensure that all Thomas Fudge products are produced to safe, legal, meeting and exceeding quality standards.
Key accountabilities
- Painting, Decorating and maintaining our Bakery, Office and Colleague areas.
- Repairs to floors, walls and ceilings.
- Carry out pest proofing identified in pest control audits.
- Assist the duty engineer with engineering reactive and planned plant breakdowns when required to do so.
- Carry out weekly water and gas meter reading.
- Carry out weekly water softener checks, topping up salt containers as required.
- Carry out Monthly composite panel checks recording results.
- Carry out monthly ladder checks recording results.
- Complete all required health and safety documentation.
- Complete all required food safety documentation.
